Introduction

The process of economic development is not easy; in fact, economic development is not solely based on material foundations but also requires extensive planning processes to allocate available resources. It is noteworthy that the individual, as the creator and aim of development, is responsible for this planning. However, this does not mean ignoring the role of material resources in the development process. Thus, one can observe the diligent efforts made by developing countries to search for the development of their economic resources based on comprehensive planning that focuses on all sectors of the national economy, including achieving balance in various sectors. The focus of these countries is on diversifying resources by seeking the necessary financing sources to fund the economic development process.

International business management is only one of the modern branches of business management sciences, aiming to organize institutional affairs and develop a systematic plan to address market challenges, sustainability, and competitiveness. International management specializes in studying the path of issues and strategies that qualify the organization to compete internationally efficiently and effectively.

The role of international business management lies in linking institutions with international markets and preparing for competition by preparing a feasibility study on the competition volume and weaknesses, and preparing human resources for this integration. International business management is responsible for supervising the volume of resources dealt with, capital, and how to use them in these transactions, as well as the volume of activities and investments exchanged with international markets. One of the most important features of international business management, in particular, is its systematic approach and clear plans, which follow a consistent pattern of competitive efficiency when entering international markets, making it preferable to adhere to principles and rules of sound management.

The international business department is concerned with managing the affairs of any institution or work system to the extent that it gives efficiency for international competition and significantly enters global markets. Given the tremendous economic openness experienced by the world and constantly increasing, it was necessary to develop international business management to deal with all international affairs. The real impetus behind the emergence of international business management may be that globalization controls our reality in a way that cannot be ignored, giving an indication of the trend towards unifying economic markets and reducing the trade restrictions that govern many countries. This prompted everyone to think of a solution for strong institutional participation in local markets by managing their businesses in a way that qualifies them for global competition.

 

Significance of the Study

This study derives its scientific importance from the necessity of clarifying the concept of international management and its impact on achieving economic development in the Republic of Iraq.

The practical importance of the study is that this study can be considered a source for researchers and students who want to know more about the reality of economic development, and this study may be a starting point for researchers and enthusiasts to conduct further research in this field.
