The Role of Human Resource Management in Developing the Intellectual Capital of the Organization

Abdullah Abubakr Saeed Hussein presented on "The Role of Human Resource Management in Developing the Intellectual Capital of the Organization" at the Gate Academy celebration:

Introduction

Human resources play a pivotal role in setting strategic goals, monitoring and analyzing the external environment, supervising internal operations, and measuring efficiency. Moreover, they are instrumental in enhancing productivity. Many organizations have declared that their human resources distinguish them from their competitors as they possess unique strategic value. Consequently, these organizations strive to attract and retain these individuals, ensuring their continuity within the organization as competitors with their counterparts in other organizations.

Undoubtedly, organizations cannot thrive without efficiently employing human energies and effective relationships in parallel with material resources, which collectively constitute intellectual capital.

Therefore, intellectual capital has become the real capital of organizations, as it plays a primary role in the processes of innovation and renewal. It leads in the process of change and creativity, and thus, it is capable of transforming knowledge into value and then into a competitive advantage. Therefore, focusing on how to develop its intellectual capital to achieve elements of superiority over its competitors, whether in terms of performance quality, product, service, or other differentiation strategies, has become a requirement of the current work environment.
